Eight Children Sent to Hospital After School Bus Accident

Monday morning in Palm Springs while students were headed to school, a car cut in front of a bus causing an accident that sent the car's driver and eight students to the hospital, according to witnesses and the California Highway Patrol. The school bus was headed to Katherine Finchy Elementary School when the 1996 Oldsmobile caused the accident resulting in students being jostled on the bus due to a lack of seat belts. As reported by the Desert Sun, the students were released the same day and most went home to rest, while the driver of the Oldsmobile was taken in to be treated for major injuries.
